Step onto Cypress River Ranch and you’re walking through centuries of history. Native American trails crossed this land as early as 1542, long before Texas was Texas. Trammels Trace, the first road to Texas from the north, was traveled by Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston, and Davie Crockett. Two miles of the Trace still winds through our pastures today. But history here isn’t only about what happened—it’s about what’s happening now.
For over 30 years, we’ve practiced regenerative agriculture by raising Red Wagyu cattle in rotational grazing systems that restore the land. Our efforts have enriched soil, cleaned water, and increased biodiversity—proof of which swims in our stretch of the Cypress River with the world’s only successful paddlefish reintroduction. With 2.5 miles of river frontage, we show that agriculture and conservation can thrive together. Choosing our beef means supporting a vision of farming that heals, restores, and honors the land for generations to come.
